Spring Approaches, Be Prepared

Winter isn’t over yet, but spring is just around the corner and with it will come the summer heat.   If you want to be prepared, you would benefit greatly from cleaning your air conditioning unit.  To do this yourself, follow these general steps:

1. Remove the outside cover
2. Clear dead leaves and debris from the outside of the unit
3. Remove any rust with a wire brush and give the affected areas a light spray of rust remover.
4. Replace the outside cover
5. Check the furnace filters.  Make sure that they are clean and clear of debris because your air conditioning unit will use the same filter.
